What an exciting season it’s been on the Crystal Coast! Our team is still recovering from Beaufort Wine and Food’s inaugural craft beer festival, where we enjoyed delicious local barbecue, small batch brews and attended several craft beer seminars. If you didn’t make it to Beaufort for this year’s festival, don’t worry! Beaufort Wine and Food holds events year round, and all in the name of charity. Here’s a look at what you missed at Beaufort’s Brewin’.
Beer, Beer, and More Beer: Craft brewery reps from across North Carolina, and across the nation came to town for the two-day festival. Our social media team had the time of their lives learning about each brewery, and providing 27 different brands with equal exposure. From social media to the Beaufort Wine and Food blog, each brewery had their chance to shine through live event coverage and pre-festival promotion.
A Heated Competition: With 27 different brands of beer to try, having a bite to eat nearby was essential. Thankfully, Beer, Bubbles, and BBQ featured a cooking competition filled with brisket, barbecue, and all the fixins’. At the end of a fun-filled afternoon, we took to Facebook Live to announce the overall winner of the cooking competition, Chef K from Beaufort Grocery. Our goal behind the live event coverage was to engage Beaufort Wine and Food fans who were not able to attend this year’s event and allow them to easily follow along on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for a live look at all the action. Plus, we wanted to entice more fans so that they will place this event on their calendar for next year.
Making New Friends: Did you stop by our booth? We had a lot of fun playing “Instagram booth” with the beer-loving attendees. Guests went home with a custom tobacco stick bottle opener, designed by our friends at Southern Hooker (you can get your own here). But the best part of all was seeing the online interaction roll in. During the festival alone, we were able to generate over 17,000 organic impressions, and 482 video views – not bad for a first time event in America’s Coolest Small Town.
Pre-promotions for the events in the weeks leading up to the festival garnered over 92,000 organic impressions and we’re still calculating the engagement results for after the festival. Our live social media coverage will capture the essence of your event and help keep attendees’ memories alive.
